How to not be hard on yourself!

How to stop being hard on yourself.

Quote of the day-

There is no excuse for not trying.

We often set unrealistic expectations on ourselves. Then we don't reach those expectations, and feel like we are useless and start letting negative thoughts come in. Then we compare ourselves with others and feel more bad.

If this sounds like you, keep reading

We sometimes just get hard on ourselves which can affect your mental health. We pressurize ourselves in many ways we are actually not aware of. Like staying up till late and finishing many assignments together in one night. Like come on, you had the whole day with you, but you did nothing and now you are forcing yourself to stay up till late and complete everything. This is not how it works. It might seen easy now, but in the long run, it will surely affect your performance.

So, here are some tips for you to stop being hard on yourself.

#1 - Its okay to make mistakes. Learn form them.
        - Its absolutely okay to make mistakes. Know that "making mistakes is a part of your learning." Mistake is a sign that you are trying. Its okay to feel bad about making mistakes, but accept them and try harder next time. Don't punish yourself, but understand where you went wrong and improve next time.

#2 - Don't compare yourself to others.
       - Don't compare yourself to others. "Because your not them, you are you and accept yourself they way you are, your faults and all. "
       - Know that everyone is on different stage of their life, and everyone shines when its time, you will shine too.
       - You are just getting hard on yourself because of someone who is not you.

#3 - Don't let criticism get you down.
        - "Learn from criticism and work harder. Don't let them take you down."

#4 - Give yourself breaks.
        - Getting too hard on yourself by doing the same thing for 3-4 hours continuously is not worth it. Initially, It would be easy but after sometime you will be forcing yourself to do things. Better take breaks in between. You can use the "Pomodoro technique."

#5 - Know that your mental health is more important then your grades. Don't go hard on yourself, give yourself some time!

Now 'don't go hard on yourself' doesn't mean stop trying when you feel a little bit of pressure. That pressure can also come because of boredom. You will automatically understand when you are feeling pressurized because it will affect your mental health.
So, that's it! I hope this was helpful!

I won't be posting for sometime as I have my exams coming up. So wish me luck!
Thankyou😄💖
